Alphabet Art: With the letters I have created my name Bridget. To make the B i cropped the photo and placed the two windows next to each other to create the letter B. To create the letter E I took a photo of the number 3 and flipped it to make the letter E. I find the letter I the most interesting, because it gives a new perspective to the bathroom sign. The letters in my name are unified, because they are all in black and white so they blend together. If I did this assignment again I would do my last name to match my first name. The track could be a place that could unify the photos.
Photo Book:
Photo Essay: I took all of my photos at six flags, because it was my favorite part of April vacation and whenever I go to six flags it reminds me of when I was younger and used to go there with my older sisters. In the photos you can see some of the rides I went on while I was at six flags. the photo essay portrays the story of how my day was at six flags. I put the photos in order of the rides I went on while I was at the amusement park. All of the photos go together, because they were all taken at the same place and they are all pictures of amusement park rides at six flags.
Double Exposure: The images i chose for double exposure were from line and shape, painting with light, and studio portrait. The images relate by the colors used and how dark the pictures are. The third picture shows the street lines crossing and the car in a different position telling you a story. I moved the images to tell the story. To merge the images you go to window arrange then arrange-2 up vertical and drag the picture on top of the other picture and change the opacity. My images convey stories the first photo is about a book and the journey in the book where as the second image is about a horror, and the third photo is about crossroads.
Studio Photos: The lighting in the photo of just Jess' head the light is directly behind her Jess' hair is the only part of the picture that is lit up. Jess has her head and part of her body in the picture. jess is looking forward in the picture while I am on the side of her taking the picture. I am very close to Jess taking the photo at a horizontal angle. The photo seems to give off a creepy kind of vibe. The other photo i have there is like this photo except there is a window in the photo I think that photo gives an even more creepy almost a suspense vibe.
Shadow and Reflection: Majority of my photos were taken durinng the Kiss 108 Jingle Ball concert. The photo that I chose to talk about though is the picture taken of Jess holding the broken mirror. I used the white balance of incodesant when i took the picture. I used the ISO of 210 in my photograph. I used the shutter speed of 1/100. In my photograph Jess is being reflected into the broken mirror. I included the object into the picture when i took it. I took the photo at an angle from behind Jess where i wouldn't be in the picture but I would still get Jess and her reflection into the picture. I feel like the photo is interesting because of the colors and that the reflection is broken. I feel as if this photo gives the viewer the meaning that what is in the mirror doesn't matter.
Aperture: I used the f-stop 5.6 to create shallow depth to field. When taking the photos i used the ISO 100 and WB Cloudy for some and Sunny. For the large depth to field i used the f-stop 5.8 I used the ISO 100 and WB Sunny. I like the Large depth to field photos better i liked the focus on the back a lot more than focus on the front. I would use shallow depth of field if i wanted to focus on only one part of the picture. If there was multiple objects in the picture you would want to use large depth to field.
Motion Black and White:
Motion: I used the shutter speed 1/125 of a second to freeze the action. We used the ISO 100 and the WB sunny. We freezed Jaxs and the pinwheel. The photos were taken at different angles but most of them were taken looking down on the objects. In some of the pictures the rule of thirds is used. In a lot of the pictures they're are strong colors.
Painting with Light: The photo on the far right is my favorite we used the light to draw the word Boo I like that it's not to easy to read what its says and your eyes are drawn to the space in between the two oo in boo. We used string lights, finger lights, and a halloween light to create the "painting." I believe that the viewer would be interested in the photos because they are so different. The shutter speed was 15-30 seconds i believe for the photos.
Pattern and Texture: My best photo is the photo i took of the sign pole outside of the high school in the picture I am up close to the pole with the camera at a vertical view at a diagonal angle this photo does not follow the rules of thirds, because of how close the camera was. I believe that this photo shows both pattern and texture the pattern because of the circles and the texture is that you can see the texture of the pole in the photo.
Line and Shape: I decided to take photos of the road and of a door at my friends house the photos i took showed more lines than shape but they still showed some shapes. Most of the photos I am far away from the object except for when I took the picture of the door I am close. Most of my photos are at an angle I used the rule of thirds in some of my photos. The photo with the white car on the far right leads your eyes through the road to the car.
